'I started in this
business many moons ago fronting a band ,skipping high school on
Fridays with 4 or 5 others guys
crammed into a van to make a gig somewhere in Northern Ontario. Back
then we did it for the love of the music
(and to get girls). I am fortunate now to have a group of the best
players in this country and we still love to play whenever we get the
chance. My band mates now have played with the likes of Amanda
Marshall, Long John Baldry, Bruce Cockburn, David Clayton Thomas,
Sass
Jordan, Sisters Euclid, and Prairie Oyster,
to name a few'.

BERNIE LABARGE: GUITARS
Bernie LaBarge is a master guitar player well versed in all
styles. He grew up in Burlington,
ON, so we have a lot of the same idols and influences that were
part of the Toronto sound.
Bernie is a very gifted songwriter and he has fronted numerous
bands over the years
...his latest
The Stickmen, are terrific. Bernie is also a very
snappy dresser. |

TOM GRIFFTHS: BASS
Tom Griffiths and I go back to high school together in
Brampton Ontario. Tommy was one of
the guys that I spent countless hours in Northern Ontario going
through blinding snowstorms
to make a gig at a high school that paid $100 if we were lucky.
Some of the bands we were in
were that I remember are The DM Groove, Bullrush, Blues
Society...Tommy comes from the
Leland Sklar school of bassmen...solid and a great sense of song.. |

ROB GUSEVS: KEYBOARDS
Rob Gusevs and I go back to the early 80's when we were in the
Arrows together.
Rob and I wrote one of my favorite Arrow's songs "I Can't Let Go"
He is a great keyboard
player and a master on the Hammond B3. If you are ever in Toronto
on a Monday night,
check out Rob with Sisters Euclid at the Orbit Club! |

CHARLIE COOLEY: DRUMS
Charlie Cooley originally comes from the funk capital of
Canada Halifax Nova Scotia. We have
known each other for a lot of years but it's only lately that I
have had the pleasure of getting
to be on the bandstand with him. He is a groove master and as rock
solid as any drummer
you'll find anywhere. He's played with all the greats and it's a
comforting feeling to look back
and see him sitting at his kit. Charlie endorses
Sabian Cymbals. |
